    Description

    Up for bid is a vintage hand carved wood cardinal found at a local estate sale.   It measures 7 3/4 inch by 3 1/2 inch at the wooden base.  The bird measures about 6 inch long from beak to tail.  It measures 7 inch from bottom of sculpture to tip of bird's crest.   Not sure what wood the bird is carved from but it has a beautiful grain and color.  The bird has metal legs that fit into the wooden base.  The front of the crest has a little nick but colored in so it is not that noticeable when displayed.  Not sure of it's age.  There is a paper label on the bottom identifying the artist and location made.
