    Description

    For your consideration is this unrestored Sheaffer non white dot balance carmine red fountain pen. The pen comes to you as I found it fresh from an estate and will need new seals, plunger washer, and the pen cleaned out before using. The pen is in decent condition but has a hairline crack in the cap lip as seen in the photos. This pen is a non white dot version of the Balance and comes with a wide jeweler's band. The band has not been engraved. The gold filled trim has slight brassing to it. Barrel stamp is present and is legible but is not perfect. The knurling on the plunger is worn but you can faintly see it. The barrel clarity is decent on this pen and can be observed in the photos. The nib is a 14k Sheaffer #3 nib and appears to be a F but could be a Fine Medium. I did not dip test it so I am unsure. There are no cracks or damage to the nib or feed. This would make a great candidate for restoration and to use as a daily writer. I have too many project pens and will never get around to this pen so I am passing it on to you. Again, this is a NON WORKING pen and will need work to get it back to a writing state.
