Vintage L S Starrett No. 199 master precision level 15" w/wooden storage case

Description

for auction is a vintage L S Starrett 15'' precision level model Number 199. It is as found and in very good used condition. Both level bubbles are in good shape.  The top of the level has no cracks or repairs.  all the screws are present. The bottom of the level is cast iron and in good used condition.  There is some lite surface rust on the sides and sole from years of storage.  The sole of the level has some minor scuffs and scratches, none too serious.  The box is good and solid. There is some scuffs and scratches in the wood. there are some cracks in the ends of the  wood top but do not go all the way across.  The finger joints are still holding tight.  The hinges are good and the closing clasps work well.
