Description
Vectavir toned cold sore cream 2g (10mg/g)Vectavir tinted cold sore cream is used to treat cold sores (herpes labialis) caused by a virus called Herpes simplex. Cold sores are caused by a viral infection. The virus may remain inactive for a long time, but if activated, it will multiply and cause herpes. This could happen, for example: if you are exhausted, have the flu or have a cold, or if you have been exposed to excessive sunlight. The virus causes painful blisters on the lips.
Vectavir tinted cold sore cream contains penciclovir and belongs to a group of antiviral medicines that stop the virus from multiplying. Vectavir tinted cold sore cream relieves cold sore pain, speeds up healing and shortens the time that the cold sore is contagious, but its use does not prevent the spread of the cold sore to others.
Dosage:
Adults and children from 12 years of age: the cream is applied approximately every 2 hours during the day in the required amount, depending on the size of the affected area of skin. The treatment should last for 4 days.
