Sheaffer’s Touchdown Valiant 14K Lifetime 2 Tone Nib & 500 Mechanical Pencil Set

Estate find!  Vintage Sheaffer's fountain pen and pencil set in original case.  The color is a striated Marine green. I believe the pen is a white dot Touchdown Valiant (I could be wrong) and the pencil is a 500.   Pencil is marked with a 500 as shown.  The pen has a serial number 1251 and the Sheaffer name and address on the barrel.  Both the pen and pencil have gold trim.
The pen measures 5-1/8" capped.
The pencil is 5" long.
Both the pen and pencil are in good cosmetic condition.  Expect light scratches from normal use and handling.  I found no teeth marks or deep gouges.  Pen will need cleaning.  It is untested other than dipping in some water to see if the nib drags.  It does not drag.  Pencil is in good condition.  The lead goes in and out when the barrel is turned.  Eraser is in tact.  The case has some ink and pencil stains on the inside and outside bottom shows some wear.  Looks like a newspaper stuck to it at some point.  The set is being sold in as found condition.

Free returns will be accepted only if we sent you the wrong item.  Otherwise the buyer is to pay return shipping.  You will be refunded the bid amount less return shipping cost.
Returned items must be packaged to insure a safe delivery. We will not issue a refund for items damaged or lost during transit.  A refund on returns will only be processed on items received in the original condition that they were shipped.
