Description
This belonged to my late husband, Buddy Zech; he wasn't well for sometime and couldn't manage to participate as a soldier, so he portrayed a New York reporter bothering the generals all the time. He dressed as a civilian for the part, put a board up on two barrels, sat on a chair and used this desk.It is based on an original, but a bit larger, and it holds a lot, including pencils, inkwells and envelopes with paper. It comes with a tiny oil lamp.
Measurements are: Desk closed, 10 inches long, 8 inches wide, 3 inches high
One flap open, 18 x 10
Open all the way, 25 x 11 x 2
Envelope compartment is 10.5 x 6.5; inner sleeves are 3 inches, 4 inches and 5 inches
Pencil compartment: 7.5 x 6.5 inches.
I don't know what happened when I took the pictures; some of the wood appears to be lighter than the rest of the desk, but it isn't. It is the beautiful brown that you see on the desk overall.
I ship this item USPS Priority Mail; shipping is included. This is quite a bit because this is solid wood and heavy to ship!
