Reproduction 20th Maine Infantry Forage Cap/Hat Repro READ!!!

Reproduction 20th Maine Company B Forage cap with Maltese cross and 20th Maine brass emblem. Made of wool and leather. Needs a minor spot cleaning on the top as I made sure to polish my brass on a fairly regular basis. I did classroom demonstrations and re-enactments for about 25 years and kept my gear and uniform in good shape. It is time to sell it all, so see my other auctions to totally outfit and equip yourself into the 20th Maine (or pretty much any other Union infantry regiment). This also allows you to avoid the abuse heaped on newbies and their straight-from-the-sutler uniform and equipment. Ask if you have any questions.
My head is 22" in diameter and the hat fits me pretty well. I think that translates to a 7 or 7 and 1/8th
People asked questions so I added a couple more pics, but as you can pretty much tell, I am not a professional photographer.
People also asked for condition specifics: The hat is wool with a leather brim and leather sweatband. I think the chinstrap is leather as well, with a small brass adjuster and two small brass buttons. The insignias are in pretty good shape. The top could use a slight cleaning as there is some light cleaner staining. Nothing here is mint. I did a few hundred demonstrations for school kids and more than a few re-enactments. This stuff has been to Gettysburg (Not the actual battle or the movie, but you get the idea) so there is some wear and tear, and the brass will always have a hint of brass polish.
This is my fav item that I'm parting with as it is the one thing that ties everything else to the 20th Maine.
