THE ITEM DESCRIPTION:
A great image of Mickey Mouse times 3 on a toboggan or sled racing downhill in the snow. It is rare to find a Walt Disney authorized postcard from the 1930s which features more than 1 Mickey Mouse. Disney insisted that all Disney license holders use only approved & authorized art. The back of this unused postcard states in German “Mit Genehmigung der Lizenzinhaberin W. Hagelberg A.G.” This translates to English “
With the permission of the license holder W. Hagelberg A.G.” Hagelberg was a printing company in Berlin, Germany that specialized in chromolithography on posters, cards & other items. Leo Stainer, Innsbruck, Austria was a publisher. The W. Hagelberg company created the art work for this card & licensed Leo Stainer to publish it as a postcard. Walt Disney company had nothing to do with it. This is not Disney authorized but it is a very dramatic use of Mickey Mouse putting 3 of him on a sled. Unused & excellent condition. 073021/88AF(5)
