Every crafter has their individual style and artistry. Mine is based on learning the needle arts at the age of six from my Grandmother who was born in 1900. I endeavor to give my work a dimensional look that allows them an impression of almost being alive; I want the future owner to see that Christmas magic!  A Tree Skirt requires as much work as two to three stockings to make, which translates to 100 to 150 hours of handwork.
This beautiful 43” handmade Bucilla tree skirt design features three manger scenes with two little angels watching over Baby Jesus and “Merry Christmas” spelled out three times using metallic gold thread couching over gold braid. The crewel straw and the halos are also all couched in place. The skirt has a fabric backing in a red starry winter night fabric that blends beautifully with the skirt front background felt. The white kit edge has been replaced with a matching red trim that is more elegant to allow the scenes and script to remain the focal point. This skirt was designed to be used uncut underneath a tree stand or as a decorative tablecloth. You always have the option to cut a center “X” to allow an artificial tree pole to go through if preferred. This is an exceptional tree skirt that will express the miracle of Christmas with young and old alike.
