Description
TP59H - Up for auction is a Civil War era Money Wallet/Pouch, works great for period money or modern credit cards etc.. While I do not have specific documentation of the item, I made this for myself and it works well and so, I figure that a soldier of the period may have fashioned something similar. The pouch itself is lined with BROWN leather with a 100% cotton GRAY & BLACK w/RED FLOWER print fabric outside and off white ducking lining for upper flap. The fabric is an authentic reproduction material called THE CIVIL WAR CHRONICLES by JUDIE ROTHERMEL for LEGACY PATTERNS and is hand sewn with 5-6 stitches per inch with White cotton thread, The pouch is designed to fold three times to secure your valuables in the pouch. Pouch itself measures3 1/2" X 6 1/2", item is new made and never used. Great for soldier or civilian alike or Cowboy reenactors, CAS, living historians of the Victorian era. Heck, I use mine for everyday usage!! Also works great for a tobacco pouch for the pipe smoker wanting a period method to carry your favorite smoking material. I will say that the leather pouch does dry your tobacco out so I would not recommend it for long term storage of high quality tobacco.
MONEY & CARDS NOT FOR SALE AND ARE PICTURED FOR SCALE PURPOSES ONLY.
