Reed Lathe Head Stock
Description:
This sale is for the Reed Lathe Head Stock pictured.   This thing weighs a good 80 lbs. if not more.
This came from a large working lathe that was stripped down before being  abandoned.  It looks like the previous owner repaired lamps given the wooden & brass forms  found with it.   Those are offered in other auctions.
There is a crack in one bearing cap. Other than that it looks  pretty good. I had it apart to clean it, and can ship it whole, or any  parts you may need.
The end spindle measures approx. 1.25 x 11 TPI. The chucks and large face plate  as well as other parts offered in other auctions all thread onto the end  spindle.
