    Description

Another outstanding and hard to find Japanese tin car by Ichiko with the original box. This beautifully styled 1960 Buick Invicta 4-door hardtop is the lithographed version. The body of the car is finished in printed lithography while the rooftop is painted.
You can’t see it in the photos, but the ivory color has numerous areas of spidering, and there are a couple of spidering areas in the burgundy parts as well. Of course they are under the lithography and you have to turn the car in your hands even to see them. You seldom find the litho version in nice condition, but this car displays nicely.
The car measures approximately 17.5" long (44.5 cm) by 4.5” tall (11.4 cm) and 6.5" wide (16.5 cm).
The celluloid windows have been replaced and I suspect that the roof has been repainted as well. However the color match and patina is just about perfect.
The colorfully lithographed red, white and blue interior just adds a little more color to the presentation.
And of course the black tires, chrome hubcaps and gold anodized headlights just enhance the look of elegance.
All of the tin trim including bumpers, grill, windshield trim, hubcaps and gold anodized pieces are original and in extremely nice condition.
The base plate is totally original.
The friction and the siren sound work and tires and wheels are in great condition.
The old original box has a small chipboard patch repair to each of the long side aprons.
This is a beautiful and truly hard to find car that in my estimation captures the look and feel of the golden age of automobiles.
