0 DOLLARS off! M1842 .69 Cal Musket Cartridge Box with correct tin and sling

This is a .69 caliber musket box complete with correct, large (musket) .69 caliber tins. This box was a replacement for the m1840 cartridge box and features an implement pouch and like the originals is rigged for only a shoulder sling. Pattern for this box came from an original, and this new made box is hand cut, hand dyed and hand sewn as were the originals. The inner flap is stamped R. DINGEE over N-YORK. Dingee held the contract for many of the leather items issued to the U.S Army before
the Mexican War, and after his death his sons took over the firm into the 1850s. At the beginning of the Civil War, many .69 caliber smooth bore muskets were in service and these boxes were a part of the accoutrements issued with those muskets. All items are made start to finish in a small, one-man, veteran operated shop all American leather and parts, (no foreign stuff here!)
